Sam SearsAfter graduating cum laude from Willamette College of Law in 2004, Sam was employed as staff counsel for the Judiciary Committee of the Oregon Legislature during the 2005 Legislative Session.  After taking a one-year hiatus from law to teach English in Japan with his wife, Sam returned to Oregon to work as staff attorney for the Oregon Law Commission during the 2007 Legislative Session.

Through his work in the legislative arena, Sam developed an excellent understanding of the legislative process and development of legislative history.  In private practice, Sam uses that understanding to help his clients deal with the laws and regulations to which they are required to comply.
